Day 1Colombo/Kandy

Begin your tour with pickup at your hotel or the airport. Drive directly to Kandy and spend the
night in a hotel there. After breakfast at the hotel, take a city tour of Kandy that includes a
visit to Kandy Temple — one of the most venerated Buddhist temples in Sri Lanka that houses
the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha.

Day 2Kandy/Nuwara Eliya

Next, drive to Nuwara Eliya, stopping off at the Bhaktha Hanuman Temple en route. Admire
the 5-meter granite statue of Rama’s devoted supporter Hanuman before visiting Ramboda
Waterfall. Explore a tea plantation and factory, then arrive in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 3Nuwara Eliya

On Day 3, have breakfast at your hotel then visit Gayathri Peedam, he first and most
important temple built for Gayatri Amman (Gayatri being an aspect of Saraswati and the
Universal Mother) in Sri Lanka. Continue to the Diurumpola Temple where Seetha Devi
underwent the “Agni Pariksha” test to prove her chastity. Proceed to Seetha Eliya and visit
Seetha Amman temple, believed to be the place where Seeta lived most of the time of her
time in captivity. Afterward, visit Ashok Vatika. According to the historical Legend of
Ramayana, Seeta was kept in this garden as she refused to stay in Ravana’s magnificent
palace. See a rock on which Seeta used to sit and meditate, before returning to your hotel in
Nuwara Eliya.

Day 4Ella/Katharagama

Head to Ella to admire the Rawana Waterfalls and Rawana Cave. Continue to the Kataragama
Temple — dedicated to the god Kataragama from the Ramayana legend. Spend overnight at
a hotel in Kirinda.

Day 5Katharagama/Galle

Begin Day 5 with breakfast, then drive to Ussangod, the place where, according to Ramayana
legend, King Rawana’s airport was constructed and his big peacock-shaped aircraft landed.
Next, drive to Rumassala, which the Ramayana proclaims is a chunk of the Himalayan
Mountains in India that was brought by Hanuman to find medicine for Lakshman when he
was injured in the battle with Ravana. Once you’ve finished sightseeing, stay overnight at a
hotel in Galle.

Day 6Galle/Colombo

Begin Day 5 with breakfast, then drive to Ussangod, the place where, according to Ramayana
legend, King Rawana’s airport was constructed and his big peacock-shaped aircraft landed.
Next, drive to Rumassala, which the Ramayana proclaims is a chunk of the Himalayan
Mountains in India that was brought by Hanuman to find medicine for Lakshman when he
was injured in the battle with Ravana. Once you’ve finished sightseeing, stay overnight at a
